Željava Base Hike&Bike

We invite you to explore an intersting area around one of the largest underground airports in Europe - base Željava. Take a walking or a biking tour with locals who will help you discover many interesting things in the vicinity of the base.

At this moment the base is closed to the public, but with a little help from locals, who know each other very well, you will discover a number of very interesting spots and activities in the vicinity of the base and the border area.

Mr. Osman Sulić, Izačić, Bosnia i Herzegovina
Former military airport employee, Mr. Sulić will be a great guide for this area. He is also the owner of the Memorial Room in the Izačić Village and a beautiful miniature traditional house. You can arrange hiking or biking adventure in advance on these contacts:

The owner of the Sports center Karaula and the organizer of the famous event "Štraparijada", regional working horse competition.
