Tick - Tock 1!
A wonderful and wise observation of a true scientist - Clifford Allan Redin Savory, ecologist, scientist, livestock farmer, and president and co-founder of the Savory Institute. He originated holistic, systemic approach to resource management.
"People are going to Universities and coming out with Masters Degree or a PhD, you take them to the field and they literally don’t believe anything unless its Peer Reviewed paper, that’s the only thing they accept. And you say to them...let’s observe, let’s think, let’s discuss – they don’t do it. Only if its Peer Reviewed - that’s their view of science. It’s pathetic! They go into universities as bright young people, and they come out as brain dead not even knowing what science means. They think it means peer-reviewed papers etc. No! That’s academia. If a paper is peer-reviewed it means everybody (all reviewers, at least) thought the same, therefore they approved it. Now what happens when new knowledge emerges, new scientific insights? The unintended consequence is that these results are never peer-reviewed, so we’re blocking all new advances in science, that are in fact big advances. If you look at all breakthroughs in Sciences, they never come from the center of that profession, they come from the fringe. We are going to kill ourselves because of stupidity."

Below are the videos that show the work of this remarkable scientist who has been researching, working and achieving great results in the field of nature protection and its biodiversity for a very, very long time. Mr. Savory, and an entire army of top experts, scientists, ecologists and practitioners from all over the world have been working on these topics for decades, and achieving top results, but we can't learn much about them from the deafening mass media and their successful projects are not implemented globally - they are on the "fringe".
