A few tips to help us recover:
Our brain needs to rest, so let's turn of and unplug appliances as often as we can because these devices stimulate the mind too much, and that is the exact opposite of what we’re trying to accomplish - to rest and relax.
After resting, we should give ourselves an opportunity to exercise. Simple walking and running have many stress-relieving benefits. Exercise will also help you combat the effects of chronic stress on health, and if we exercise outside in green spaces we will additionally increase our resilience to stress, reduce anxiety and worry.
After exercising, we can opt for a little bit of heat and a massage. Sauna and a massage will help our body heal by making our blood flow faster than normal. Blood is the key to healing our muscles (and the heart is our most important muscle!). Heat and a massage stimulate blood flow, and that is what we need to heal our tired muscles and flush toxins from our body.
