Innate Virtue
The human species is adorned with so many qualities and virtues, but like unused apps many of them have been put in a state of “deep sleep”. One of them acts almost like an impulse, the impulse of mutual aid, a quality which ensures that we can look at our differences without fear.
If two have differences of opinion and are left alone, those differences are solvable; the two involved will naturally approach each other after a while, especially if the other needs help or separate peacefully. Differences in opinion and verbal debates are not a problem; they should be taught in school. The argument skills belong among the essential 21st century cognitive skills, skills based on arguments, evidence, mutual respect and appreciation, without insulting, belittling or inflicting injustice or any form of verbal and physical pain.
So, where is the problem or at least one of them? Maybe it would be interesting to analyze - a third factor, a role of an arbitrator, mediator, an intermediary and other similar ones who intervene in the relationship between the two, any two, including states. And as in everything, we need to look at a very broad picture, not individual cases, or a few positive and shiny examples of mediators who brought about an agreement or reconciliation, but the state of human society as a whole, on this day - deeply polarized and filled with hatred.
