The right to judge and value something can only be achieved when we get to know something well, study it, and analyze it critically.

Our history, both national and global, has been far too difficult, and if we manage to evaluate everything that was good simply as good and everything that was bad solely as bad - regadless of who was standing behind these acts, we will gain the possibility to get out of the hellish circle of revenge and hate, and earn an advantage, and assistance, in making future mature decisions based on real historical experiences, facts, and critical thinking. That is the main role of the AVNOJ Museum in Bihać - to impartially inform the public about the historical facts and circumstances of the time.

An evildoer cannot be a hero, a criminal cannot be a role model, a bully cannot be an idol - they are the same scum in every society, regardless of their origin, nationality, social status or religion! Lets learn to recognize real heroes, genuine role models and true idols!

On 26 and 27 Nov, 1942, the first meeting of the Anti-Fascist Council of People's Liberation of Yugoslavia (AVNOJ) was held in Bihac, which was then constituted as the all national and political representative body of the People's Liberation Movement in the fight against evil, because all forms of aggression and violence are just that - pure evil.

For fifty years, the building where the session was held had been a museum with a permanent exhibition, till the 1992 and yet another military aggression when it was destroyed - just a confirmation of what follows when the important big leap in the evolution of consciousness does not happen - a new hellish cycle of violence and evil takes place, a new war!

The reconstruction was completed in 2013 and the Museum now stands open and ready to welcome all curious visitors.
