Edu Trail Plitvice - the magic of tufa making
Enjoy the idyll - take a walk along the educational trail Plitvice to the highest waterfall in Croatia
The educational trail meanders along the 4 km long stream Plitvice, one of the permanent watercourses of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The stream's source never dries up and is the third largest karst spring within the park. Due to changes in a geological base, tufa deposits intensively in the Plitvice streambed. A further walk will lead you to the canyon of the Lower Lakes where Croatia's highest waterfall awaits you - the 78 meters high Great waterfall.
The trail can be accessed from the entrances 1 (and 2 in the season). From there, go to the station 4 Labudovac - the starting point.
Enjoy the magical scenery during off-peak and shoulder-season when Nature often puts on its best display of flora and fauna!
