Captain's Tower & Ottoman Turbe - Bihac's historic architecture

The only remaining tower of once four, Bihac Captain's Tower was built at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries, sometime around 1205, as part of the defensive walls of the medieval, royal, and free town of Bihac.

Right next to it you will find the Ottoman Turbe (Turkish türbe). Turbe represents a tomb or a mausoleum; they were constructed during Ottoman times for the deceased Ottoman notables. Bihac Ottoman Turbe (period: 16th - 17th centuries) is the hexagonal structure that commemorates the soldiers who died during a siege of Bihac.

Tour this ancient and important historic buildings in the heart of Bihac - it’s worth it!
